Typical Fall Day

This weekend has been the official start to fall. The temperature is cool, the air is crisp, and the leaves are starting to change colors. Fall is such a great season-- for many reasons. I love fall clothing. And unlike any other season, I do have a "look" that I consistently wear for fall-- just different variations and colors of the same overall outfit. My fall look includes many layers, a puffer vest, skinny jeans, and flats. Reliable + warm, stylish + trendy, down-to-earth + low maintenance. The outfit is suitable for a pumpkin patch, hayride, casual dinner with friends, football game/tailgate, or a grocery run. Anything and everything goes. Sometimes I change up the look just a tad and switch out my flats for boots. Such an easy look to accomplish... try it!

I am Wearing...
Black Puffer Vest from Old Navy
Red Cardi from JCrew
Long Grey Tank by Velvet from Three Sister's Boutique
Roxanne Skinny Jeans from 7 for All Mankind Southpark
Suede Moccasins by Tory Burch
Black Handbag by Prada
Jewelry from Francesca's Collections
Silver Earrings from Tiffany

My Latest Purchases!

Tonight in NC, temperatures dropped to the mid 50's. That means fall is right around the corner! Even the leaves looked as if they were changing today. If you haven't read my other posts, you should be informed that I LOVE the Fall Season... I especially love boots, skinny jeans, and an oversized sweater. That is my go-to look for fall. Since fall is so close, I have been doing major shopping... more than what I need to be doing. I will not bore you with all of my purchases-- and I'm also quite ashamed that I have bought so much in such a short amount of time. But I wanted to share my absolute favorite purchased items from this week.

Shoshanna Dress-- special ordered for me from Three Sister's Boutique, Spartanburg SC
There are other dresses similar to this one... Go into Three Sister's Boutique Downtown Spartanburg and check out their Shoshanna Collection. To die for!

I've been waiting on these babies for over a month now! They were a pre-order deal. I love Tory Burch Eddie Flats... But mixed with leopard print? Seriously, the best of both worlds. AND leopard print goes so well with black AND brown. So it's a win win situation.

I AM IN LOVE! This sweater screams comfort and yet it's in my favorite print- leopard. I have a pair of red matchstick cords from JCrew that I plan on wearing with the sweater. This was a steal from Shopbop. Sweater $83. Totally worth that to me.

I love stripes and patterns and prints. I hate to be boring. Because boring is just no fun. So imagine this sweater with skinny black jeans and tan boots.... cute, huh? I'm such a sucker for oversized sweaters. I love getting lost in my clothes.

I got paid today. Usually I've already spent my paycheck before it even shows up in my account. But today I waited a solid 22 hours before deciding what to do with my paycheck. I thought about saving it. But I've had a rough past 2 weeks so I felt as if I needed a present. I had been eyeing these Tory Burch driving mocs for a while now. And I went for it. The shoes will not be here until next week... and I'm already anxious to get them!

I hope you enjoyed my fall wardrobe preview. More to come, I'm sure!

Brett Auston's Fall Necessities

10 Fall Necessities

As I have recently posted, Fall is my favorite season of the year. ... And finally, it is here! I could make a list 3-4 pages long of the items I most desire this season. However, I have compiled a short list of 10 items that I believe are necessary to own.

Cashmere Henley in Bright Dahlia
Bright colors are great for fall. Try to break away from the typical fall colors.

Frye Mimi Scrunch Boots
Frye boots are quite expensive. But they are totally worth the price! I have built up quite a collection and I refuse to wear any other brand.

Burberry Scarf
Lightweight scarfs can take any outfit from drab to fab! The weight of this fabric is light enough for day but just warm enough for a fall night.

Puffer Vest
Vest are a good substitute for a jacket or heavy coat. You get warmth while still looking down to earth and low maintenance. Pair with the boots and scarf above and the look is almost complete.

Roxanne Skinny Jeans in Rinse
I love 7 jeans! (Not only because I work there)The roxanne jeans are fabulous-- even on the curviest figures. I prefer the "rinse" wash for fall because it's a darker hue.

Milly Bow Sweater Dress
Sweater dresses are the easiest way to look put together. Throw on the dress, put on some opaque tights, and pair with heels-- and done! The look is very feminine.

Game Day Sweatshirt
Every girl loves football to some extent... Or at least every Southern girl. Always keep a game day sweatshirt handy-- support your team! GO VOLS!

Bright Colored Skinny Cords
One of my favorite trends for this season is colored corduroys.Cords are such a classic-- but usually they are in basic colors like black, camel, khaki. Colors are so much more fun and outfits can be so creative.

Suede Pumps
I love my flats but sexy suede pumps can give a lady instant confidence! I prefer a color-- such as the navy listed below.

A New Scent for Fall
Coco by Chanel is a musky scent. I strongly believe that a girl should have 2 distinct fragrances-- one for spring like a floral scent... and one for fall-- a heavier muskier scent.

I hope you are inspired to go shopping for fall! Take my advice and get these items-- I promise you will wear them more than you think!

Red+Berry+Plum

Fall is my favorite season... And it is almost here! I love everything about the Fall season-- the crisp air, SEC football, Halloween, pumpkins, cooler temperatures, the leaves changing colors... but most of all, I love Fall Fashions. The fashions and trends are always the most stylish and bold for fall. At the end of summer, I always pick a color or a color family that I will try to wear the most. In 2009, my fall color was navy... last year I was in love with charcoal and grey... and this year, Fall 2011, my favorite fall colors are Red + Berry + Plum! I love these colors. They even look great together. Pictured below are some of my absolute favorite items in these 3 colors.
