My New Obsession: Trophy Wife
My go-to nail style is a traditional pink and white on the nails and a deep red on my toenails. Last week, I decided to take my nails off for the holiday! I feel like Christmas + New Years deserve jewel tones-- like purple, emerald, pink. Anything glitzy! While I was finishing up my Christmas shopping at Target, I decided to get a "Christmas Color." Of course, I went straight for a bright red! Out of habit I suppose. Belle (my sister) encouraged that I get a turquoise. And it was eye catching. So being the indecisive person I am when it comes to health and beauty products- and accessories- I stared at the nail polish for 15 minutes. It would have been longer but I was forced to leave by my sister and mother. So I did it! I went for the color that was out of "my box." Yes, I bought the red but I also bought the turquoise. And it was a fabulous choice! I will be flaunting the color for Christmas Eve + Christmas Day!

New Hair... New Me!
I get bored very easily with my style. I am constantly looking for ways to change things up. Spice up my life-- as the Spice Girls would say. And usually I go for the hair. I can easily change my makeup but that's from day to day. And I feel like my taste in clothes will never change. So I change my hair. Just a fact about me: Since I started dying my hair in the 8th grade, I've never kept a color or cut for more than 3 months at a time. You name it.... I've done it. Short, medium, long...blonde, red, brown, black. And, yes, even pink. But this time I went to a new stylist-- never met the guy-- and told him to chop off all of my hair. And last week, my hair was below my shoulders-- blonde, might I add. This week my hair is the shortest it has ever been and jet black with red accents. I don't understand those girls that cry over cutting off 1/2 an inch of hair or having a fit because the blonde they wanted didn't turn out as white as they wanted it. I recently read in a magazine that guys look for blondes to have fun... but when they want to settle down, they usually choose a brunette. So here are some pictures of the new me!
This was my inspiration

My Newest Obsession
So it's a Friday night in the Queen City and I'm doing some online shopping. I knocked out a lot of Christmas shopping today at Southpark. And that has me in the mood to shop. I am a very brand loyal customer. So you can find me searching "Shoshanna," "Nanette Lepore," "Velvet," "Kate Spade," and "Burberry" on any given night. But...
... My recent obsession is a Milly Coat which I found on Piperlime. (I love Piperlime-- the shoe assortment is amazing, the website always has sales on Splendid and Velvet, and some of the Kate Spade earrings are $10 less than what they would normally be on any other site). While I don't have a problem spending $300 on an overcoat from JCrew that I know I will wear numerous seasons, I am skeptical to spend more than that on a detailed coat that I may wear only a few times. The Milly coat I am drooling over is $750. Unless it's Burberry, I'm not going to pay that. I would even be more likely to pay for a Nanette Lepore Coat at almost the same price. And until I just have that kind of money laying around, I will just obsess over this Milly coat and how fabulous it would look with skinny jeans and gold flats!

No Effort = Fashion Fail
Thanksgiving break is over. I love visiting with friends and family but the days are just too short. Thanksgiving is the pre-game for Christmas. While I always I overeat, I also always catch a cold over the break. So I've been sick for 4... going on 5... days now. So this is my outfit + style for "the lunch with the grandparents that I would really rather miss but didn't think of a good excuse beforehand." I love my family. I really do. But 5 consecutive days together is a bit much. You can tell how enthusiastic and excited I am by my fake smile. Add to that the start of a horrible cold. So I agree that this is not one of my most fabulous outfits. But it's better than sweats and it's just as comfortable...
My sister said my outfit looked like a nightgown
My thought of the day....
I've been wanting plastic surgery since high school. I just want a new nose! Mine is the worst possible combination from my paternal grandmother, aunt, and maternal grandfather. Oh such a horrible Scottish/ German mix. So I'm thinking that once I graduate from college I will get it... What are your thoughts on a new look... and just plastic surgery in general?

I am Thankful for My Sense of Style!
Happy Thanksgiving! Today my family had my entire mom's side of the family at our house for Thanksgiving dinner. I think the count was around 30. So that meant lots of champagne + beer and too much food! I am miserably full and already in bed. I love working retail Black Friday. Come see me at Three Sister's Boutique in Spartanburg, SC. We carry Shoshanna, Karlie, French Connection, Nanette Lepore, Velvet. I know you'd be impressed! Anyway-- back to Thanksgiving. It was a very enjoyable time to get together with family that I don't see nearly as much as I would like to. Since my family hosted the dinner mom gave us strict rules about how we were supposed to look. Jeans were acceptable but they had to be paired with a cute sweater or nice blouse. Nice flats were ok but heels would have been better. So from these guidelines I put together a fall outfit...
Today I am Wearing...
JCrew Cowl Neck Sweater (Originally $80 but I only paid 30!)
Splendid White Tank Top
7 for All Mankind Lexie Kaylie Jeans
Tory Burch Eddie Flats in Gold
Versace Sunglasses
Handmade earrings from a boutique in Knoxville
Sterling Silver David Yurman Ring
Smokey Quartz David Yurman Ring

Leopards + Brights = A Perfect Pair
Today was such a beautiful fall day in The Carolina's. The scenery is perfect for Thanksgiving because leaves are everywhere. And in all different shades of orange, yellow, and red. So I thought it was finally the perfect moment to break out my orangey-red skinny cords. I worked at Three Sister's Boutique today. It is my favorite place on Earth. And I have the privilege of working with the most fabulous and stylish boss ever. I love working retail around Christmas time. The outfit I chose for today was just too fabulous to not post on my blog. However, I forgot to take pictures with the outfits' greatest accessory-- my Chanel bag. But you will see it in future posts. Happy Thanksgiving, Fellow Fashionistas!
I am Wearing....
